Many self-proclaimed business gurus and people who have written only a few 100 lines of code in their "developer career" came to the conclusion that the world will need no more software developers in a few years because AI will do "all the coding" then.

We will try go get an overview of the lamps we can rub err… I mean the AI components we can choose from and the architectural patterns and tools to integrate them into existing systems.

More than any other IT technology AI requires a steady flow of large amounts of data – either for training purposes or during operation. For this reason we will have to inspect the data sources and distribution methods for data centered products.

After we got an overview of the current technology building blocks and the emerging architectural patterns for those, let's see some parts in action and examine some example use cases:

  • Data schema conversion

  • Prototyping an assistant on a platform

  • Retrieval augmented generation (RAG) with a model chaining framework

The examples are ordered from simple to complex.
